The Xactimate program is the number one estimating program in the nation preferred by the largest Insurers. State Farm, Farmers, Nationwide, U.S.A.A., St Paul/Travelers, Citizens, N.F.I.P. and many more have either chosen Xactimate, or are in the process of moving to it's use. Now with the introduction of Xactimate 24, most insurance adjusters will need additional training for Sketch. This new version is driven by Sketch which is an AutoCAD adjusting system. We have designed a (1) day course which teaches adjusting practices and applied principals for the Beginner. We can take almost any person with an average intelligence and teach them how to apply field notes with complex measurements, loss notices, and receipts into a finished report that could be presented with a fee bill for payment anywhere in the United States. We use real examples from our trainer/adjusters to give you the most comprehensive knowledge and understanding of what is required to generate a report that not only provides indemnity, but also logical flow and consistency that all Carriers look for.
MCE 15 hours - $350 Field Adjuster Certification F.A.C. We were approached to develop course that could give the prospective CAT Company a pre-screening function for New Adjusters. It would also act to provide a way to give a beginner adjuster the basic knowledge needed to be successful in the industry, and greater insight to whether this profession may be right for them. This course encompasses all of the curriculum now taught for MCE credit by our school in a one week course effectively giving the adjuster more than the 30 hours required for renewing their Texas license including Ethics. Regardless of whether the student is able to pass the certification, all students who sit through the mandatory hours of training will receive their continuing education credits. Only those who can grasp the concepts with computer skills should think that they will receive this certification on the first try; however, students should expect to receive more information regarding catastrophe adjusting taught anywhere in the nation at any price. We have developed relationships with venders to provide placement for those who can pass or show a strong ability to learn and persistence to complete the F.A.C. final through some very stressful conditions. File Documentation is the key ingredient to success in the adjusting field. Most adjusters really don't understand what the Supervisors/File Reviewers are looking for in the Activity Logs creating file inconsistency. Furthermore, adjusters don't understand what the log should consist of and why it is so important that the facts be clearly stated. Education on Consumer Protection laws is crucial to understanding why certain facts are needed. It cannot be stressed enough the value of a detailed dairy. Well written Dairies keep claims from reopening and provide necessary details of why certain items are payable under the terms and conditions of the policy. File Reviewers agree that "Kick Back" files would be greatly reduced if the issues were properly addressed in the log. The skills learned in this training session will make you stand out as an adjuster and will put more money in your pocket since every file you have to "Redo" cost You and the Carrier in lost Productivity.

Adjusting Personal Property and Loss of Use Texas Course Number (42947CG070)
Coverage's C and D are misunderstood by many adjusters both old and new. Personal Property is not as "cut and dried" as most adjusters think. Many issues must be addressed besides age and condition of the property. We address whether the loss is covered as being primary using experiences from actual claims to illustrate. Loss of Use (ALE and Lost Rents) is also very complex coverage. Most adjusters really do not understand the coverage or how to apply abatements correctly. Today, File Reviewers and Supervisors are keen to the adjusters deficiency in this area, having to train in the field what is fair and reasonable compensation and how abatements and depreciation should be applied. This situation creates embarrassing moments for the adjuster and takes away time out of their busy production schedule costing them money. Furthermore, many times, the adjusters just don't understand the "Limits of Coverage", and why a claim must be denied under the terms and conditions of the policy. We address practical examples of Personal Property and Loss of Use coverage, and we address all policy limitations, over limits, off-site power interruption, preservation of property, time limits for ordinance and law, salvage, food loss, and most major and minor issues faced when dealing with these lines of coverage. This is a must class for all new adjusters.

Roofing is the highest payout item for insurance carriers. The ability of today's adjusters to be able to properly identify, diagram, measure, and calculate with waste is paramount. This course was designed for the beginner to intermediate in mind with new innovations in roofing materials from all regions of the United States. You will learn how to determine the damage to these surfaces and how to properly adjust the loss. We will teach you how to make quality field drawings like the professionals. No longer fear what being on your own with complex or commercial applications. This class will bring you to the next level, or at least, keep you from the appearance of your first storm. This is a must class for all new adjusters.

Applied Ethics - Ethics in Insurance Adjusting Texas Course Number 42647CE030
Insurance Adjusters today have little guidance when it comes to fair play and knowledge of the laws governing them. The emphasis by Carriers has always on indemnity, whereas the emphasis (rather verbalized or not) from the Adjusting Firms has been prompt closing of files. Understanding what is required by law and what the good faith duties of an adjuster helps us to prioritize our efforts. Furthermore, understanding what Bad Faith is and how to avoid the pitfalls are pivotal to the career of any adjuster. We developed a curriculum that addresses fully the Ethics and Consumer Protection issues in a thought provoking manner to take what is considered a dry subject and turn it into career changing revelations for the insurance adjuster. This class is very interactive (not boring) and is considered by those who have seen it a must for every adjuster. This Course meets the State renewal requirement.
MCE 3 hours - $75
Carriers and Adjusting Firms chose to have training administered On-site for financial purposes. Certainly, it is much more effective to hold training on your own facility. Whereas, we cannot replace your total training program, we can limit the amount of time and expense to produce visual training seminars. We will travel anywhere in the world to administer adjuster training on a fee basis.
Customized Training Materials Some Companies have expressed the desire to have Catastrophe Training Academy produce Customized training material (PowerPoint) designed for use by their Trainers. We are one of the few companies available who offers this option. We will produce any curriculum for outside venders at the cost of $1,000 per course hour, and will certify it for In-house MCE Credit for an additional $2000 per Course. We will need 60 to 90 days lead time for completion depending on the material requested. Call for Details
